I wrote SEVERAL PMs directly to Starr, and with my blessings, a respected community member even shared some of our PM conversations on a variety of topics with Starr (who then added Dallas and Rick to the conversation at one point). These were PMs about topics like the pledge tier changes, the Steam Review Request, and how terrible the first incarnation of the E3 trailer was (with its emphasis on the cool swag that could be bought in the add-on store). Mate that E3 trailer was fucking disgusting. Here is what I said about it at the time myself: "The only thing that I have come across so far in this SotA project which was as bad, maybe worse, than this was when the Trailer came out. I swear to christ when I heard the Guardian’s voice again it nearly brought a tear to my eye. Only to be chased away by disbelief at the end where the Guardian started to prattle on and plug the SotA online store. That was pretty fucked up, and this is all making me wonder if the game will make it into the fifth and final episode or…Will they simply crank the first episode out which completes the majority of their kickstart promise and then cancel and refund some of the rest? This level of dishonesty and secrecy for lack of better words cannot stand, there is more to the topic but I've had enough for now and then some. See the link above where you can read a lot of stuff on this." insanemembrain.wordpress.com/2015/01/07/shroud-of-the-avatar-stretch-goals-unobtanium/You will notice something missing at my personal remake of the E3 Trailer.

I think this YouTube poster nailed it in his response to the trailer:
"Looks like more carebear shit to me with graphics from over a decade ago. Garriot lost the plot with Tabula Rasa and has just been trying to live his nerd fantasy ever since. The Ultima franchise was his one trick pony that made him a ton of money, but everything else he's touched has withered and died. This will flop and deservedly so."

Raise the bar my friend! Unless we can have a dialog, and not just childish insults, this will never be more than a soap opera. How does "*eats popcorn*" expand the dialogue? It's a self confessed statement of being addicted to watching soap operas. And is that usually considered a sign of a highly tuned mind, would you say? Eating pop corn and watching soap operas? Especially when you know it offends the people you're trying to talk too; Shouldn't someone supposedly stronger recognise that this isn't effective, and have the self discipline to take the higher road? Instead, it sounds more like you're still struggling with your own daemons, and you want people here to validate your strength, but the only way you know how to try and ask for that is by throwing out your "past" weaknesses again and desperately trying to prove strength by comparison to "now". Yet "now" it just looks like this forum, and it's daemonic characters, are the hat that's wearing you still. They look in control, not you. Or you're just trolling. But only weak minds need to do either, or pay attention to those who do. So this is the only post you'll get from me; I'm not interested in a debate with you, because trolling or not, you're still not a positive influence despite what you want to persuade others of. Especially not when that need is deployed in defence of increasingly shady business practices like Portalarium show. There lies the real test; when you can fight an entire company that produces something you desperately want to love, because now it's doing now is Wrong; even if it alienates you from many people that you wished you could get along with by doing so; if you can still do what's Right even though the world doesn't make it easy, but not pity yourself for the results whilst doing it, and instead be proud; THEN you've proven you're a strong and decent individual. Turning up and "poking the bee hive" just shows you're still addicted to tormenting the weak. And shows you remain weak yourself too. Come back when you've genuinely overcome yourself, and try starting a conversation again. Maybe then you'll be worth being part of it too, or at least know that worth inherently, instead of having to beg online lunatics for acknowledgement and security. Really agree with most everything in this post (in fact, it's expertly articulated), except the "weak" part. I don't consider we're weak. In fact, in order to stand up to that ravenous mob over at the Shroud forum, you have to have nerves of steel. They don't, because they are like pack animals. Strength in numbers. I think it's ok for him to troll. And I don't want him to "go away," because that would be the same attitude they display towards dissenters at the Shroud forums. If he thinks he's made us angry and a bee hive buzzing, then he'll believe he "won." I'm not angry at him. He's the tip of the ice berg of people who, in their own hearts, truly know things are fucked up with Shroud but are too damn scared to admit it because maybe they will lose thousands of dollars they put in the game. They also won't be able to milk innocent new players because they won't even bother buying the game. That is their real fear. They come here thinking if they combat us, maybe the game will do well. Not gonna happen.

What make you feel like I was talking about you guys? I did not point a finger at anyone, but do you have a guilty conscience? I named no one and no place lol. By the way the only times I have posted here is because my name has been mentioned or my thread quoted from sota. I do not troll here, I was invited.

I don't need to make an account really, as you can see I am posting just fine without one lol.

Ravicus, it disappoints me to see you coming from such a level head only to end up instigating this swill (but at least you're posting at all). I know that attempts at communication have been ineffective, and I know that SU hasn't been the most civil place to talk, but you've got nothing to gain engaging in petty back-and-forths with Caliya and Grim. Clearly you came here with more worthwhile goals, and it's obvious that you've long been out of popcorn.
And props to our newest poet, Grimgryphon. Someone over on the main forums (I think it was Time Lord) blew my mind with their poetry back during one of the PC's poetry contests. Grim is clearly their pupil.

I am sorry Grimmy. However you brought your wife earlier into the conversation when you said she was laughing at me. I apologize to your wife also. I am only human and can get sucked into a vortex as well as anyone. Thanks for the heads up Mordecai. Oh and I miss the hell out of time lord.

*averts eyes* Put those away! All I was saying is that there are better things that you can do with yourself than engage in meaningless arguments. No need to go so far to prove your might. This is a metaphor suggesting the manliness inherent in apologizing.

Since when has Ravicus ever been in "good form?" His posts on Shroud have been so off base and offensive, I had to block him.
The tit for tat stuff is childish, even on my part.

I don't follow enough postings on SotA to answer your question honestly Caliya. I only really met Ravicus in recent months. Regardless of our pasts though, it seems that both of you are more than well-equipped for civil conversation.
