But but but...there are 174,000 members and they have been waiting FOREVER to get to final wipe. How could this be?

On a weekend, in summer when kids are out of school, primetime login.
Millions will buy it! Millions, I tell ya!
Oh wait.
Thousands! Thousands will play! You just wait for release!
Oh wait.
Hundreds! Hundreds logged in!

myrcello As for your SotA forum posts, how can you say that everything will be fine? There is no way they can afford to pay staff on less than 1000 regular players, who have already spent every cent and borrowed money to play the game. They have tapped that market. What are they going to do? Have telethons for less than 1000 players, who they've already milked? Without income, the game won't continue development. Where are they going to get these customers? These lost sheep are bahhing "Oh, even if just 1000 of us continue playing, we'll have a great time! Don't be so negative!" It's not negative to call out reality. If they truly believe servers will continue running for a handful of people, they are not facing reality. Do I wish they would continue the game? Of course, for those who really love the game, I hope it will continue for them. You are just hopeful, and I understand that hope, but given reality, it does not appear there is any.

Caliya : Not Players i did mean. I was talking about concurrent players online. They have at the moment 773 concurrent players online. As players log in on different times and days you need a much higher number of gamers. Actually sometimes i post in irony. But no one notice it. Only the ones who truly know me. I had a good friend tell me after the Tax Mail of Darkstarr: I do not wan't a game to femsnd me to play. I wan't it to entice me to play. Especialy for the Solo Gamers who habe no tru reason to log in.

I think they believe they can bully their way to make the reality check folks go away and the game will magically become popular.

60k, new Brits are forum accounts Oh, well that's a relief. I was going to make a snarky comment about only 0.4% actually playing. Now that it has soared up to 1.2%, the game has success written all over it. Maybe I should re-invest...

I correct only because I think it is much more embarrassing they failed to more than 60k paid accounts over the course of 3 1/2 years with 'legendary' designer Richard Garriott's name all over it. Plus, I think accuracy is important when you rip something that deserves to be ripped into.
