Really excellent videos, fantastic teacher. Fascinating game. Thanks for sharing.
You see, we have the freedom to say what we want here, without moderation. We don't always agree on things, but we all seem to respect each other. And I think we've learned from each other, what makes a good or bad game.
Funny thing is, I think about everyone here most every day, and things they say to me.

This is amazing. I love the skills this would develop in young minds that aren't just applicable to governmental politics. The ideas of cooperation and conflict and problem solving. I also love that it doesn't treat young kids as stupid. It gives them positions of power with real problems they can understand and allows them to create potential solutions with one another. Great find.
Also, side note, I loved your most recent topic over on SotA's forums Myrc. I hope it gets the attention it deserves because I think it is a great question. I'd contribute, but really after the thread with Envy calling people stupid and saying we were pieces of shit, I've all but given up contributing over there. Its something I would have loved to be involved in a discussion about though.

Also, side note, I loved your most recent topic over on SotA's forums Myrc Link? I don't see it anymore. It was basically asking what about SotA might rise it above just entertainment. Is there something in the game that make it elevate it to art and inform us about human nature or the human experience. At least that's from memory. It wasn't critical of SotA, but I think it posed interesting questions. Sure, the concept of virtue is in the game, but is it simply a system we manipulate or does interacting with it inform us a little about how people behave and the consequences of behavior. I'm paraphrasing from memory, so I could be altering his original intent of the post though.

Thing is, I have taught home schooled kids in my home, and they have taught me. We have explored together. My day started with a sharing circle. They had the choice to have it, or not. They wanted it. Why? Because each of them got to talk about themselves, how their week had been, something special that happened, about their pets at home, etc. Then they all decided what kind of projects they wanted to work on. Often, when they were talking about what they loved, questions would arise and we would decide to learn more about something that interested them, together.
One time, I asked all of them, "Do you think world peace is possible?" One girl answered quickly, "No way!" I was curious and asked her why she thought that. She said, "I can't even get along with my own mom, let alone the whole world."
So then we all started strategizing of how we could get along in our own homes, because peace begins with us. It was a real challenge for me, because we each had to listen and come up with solutions. And so on.
So I could really identify with this teacher in the videos. If we give children the chance to speak their mind, tell us their own interests, we can learn an awful lot from them. We are no longer elders against youth. We are in the same boat, learning together. Life is an adventure.
I love kids.
