We all know how the developers have been going to extremes trying to silence the majority of anything with a negative stance and that they have been manipulating systems to try make themselves look better.
Behind all the terrible actions the developers have done and continue to do against legitimate people, what do you think fuels their actions? what do you think it is that gets these people to the thought process that acting like this is the rightful thing to do?

I'm no psychologist, but I'd guess $$$ has something to do with it.

I'm no psychologist, but I'd guess $$$ has something to do with it. Yeah, cold hard cash. Where do they get that from? Carebears. Carebears give poor direction and are made fucking glass, doesnt make it easy to talk to them on anything where critical thought is required.

They have displayed numerous times that money does make them be a certain way but I think there is more to it than that. Take for example when the developers trash talk about other games, make fun and claim that they won't be like that or even when they are trash talking about certain players in their own special way. I don't think anyone is dumb enough to not be able to realize that this kind of behavior hurts their income in a big way, which makes me think that there is issues other than money leading these people to act the way they have been.

Well, some of the Devs themselves seem to be really over it. Some of it is the negative feedback from the community, as evident in Qball's post. Some of it might even be the same issues we have with the management, you never know.

Well, my account has been unbanned and I'm going to continue to give them negative feedback about things I feel are wrong. I'll try a different, less in-your-face tactic and if they still try and silence me then that will speak volumes about their motivations.

You have to remember that they were pulling some of these stunts and acting this way before anyone was ever hating on them. I remember when no one was giving any negative feedback and they still decided to go on with these things, that's how it all this started. Personally I think there are some mental disorders going on, it's almost like their mentality is stuck in 1990 or even further back, it shows in how they don't know how to code, develop a game and by the way they act, yet they claim to know it all. It seems like childish behavior, like they have some sort of grudge and their brain isn't developed enough to decipher what an intelligent decision is or how to separate their childish behavior from things that it might affect, like a workplace, their business. Considering the 3 of them basically have the same attitude, it must be something that they have in common.

Looks like this could very wekk be one of the main factors, although I don't think they realize how bad, outdated their game is, they seem to be clueless to it. They currently have a skill set that worked around the 1990s where making a game was basic compared to today, a single person could create one and it also didn't require nearly as many resources. I'm not sure how these people think they can build a successful game in today's world when only having that old skill set and never wanting to learn, advance their skills. That superiority complex makes a lot of sense in this case, coming off of UO, but that was so long ago, you'd think they would of grown up by now.

I totally agree with you. His millions and past glories have put LB in a place where he's not really in touch with reality. And I think when he gets the odd dose of it, his inclination is to think, "That's not how we did it in the 80s/90s!" and he thinks going against the grain is awesome. And you know, in some circumstances, he might even be right. However, many of the things he sees as terrible in modern gaming are almost essential to the average gamer now. He seems to think that the limitations of the olden days should be replicated in the modern era, not because we can't overcome them but because he liked them, back in the day. I am interested in everyone's thoughts on what is essential or good and bad, that is in SotA, from the old gaming era. Make a new post and lets see
