Everything that the guy said in the kickstarter lead-in video, I wanted Shroud of the Avatar to be.
Progress is quite slow. One thing that put me off was the mention of GMs controlling a lot of stuff. I have a few questions on that;
1. Will GMs be professionals, employees with not a shroud of bias? 2. Is this game broken into manageable "shards" like Shards Online?
The main reason I haven't ended up backing Shards Online yet is that the community will be too fragmented, and who is going to want to play on a server run by some 12yr old asshole commanding mom's wallet and just insta-kills everyone.
The organic growth of the world and items sounds very cool.
