I was going to make a thread on this a long time ago but I wanted to feel out if there was any merit to what I was thinking before I did so. After today's Postmortem, I think there might be some legitimacy to it. There have been quite a few times in game and out of game where I've ran into SotA community members that made me wonder. From thinking how someone could be so fanboy to wondering about things they've done, like some people knowing my exact location in the middle of no where just to try and kill me. For quite a while it's been on my mind that there are staff members, or paid for people, favorite community members with special privileges roaming around our community pretending to be someone that they are not. Tracy stated that he has a secret character today, I doubt he's in game much but it does show that this type of behavior is adopted by the staff. Anyone else get this kind of feeling dealing with certain people?

Just from observing how the Devs interact with the community I can tell you that it is most certainly the case they have both the ability and the demeanour to shadow our accounts to relay information about them within their team.
After seeing how much gold they just handed over during that Violation fiasco, I wouldn't put it past them to relay some sensitive info to players as well. Though it is most likely just a non-dev player-dev account of their own they can use to grief people anonymously.
Unfortunately they have done nothing to clean up this image they have presented for some time so it does cast doubt on what we might expect from their actions

I'm not surprised by the Violation deal, he's always got hand outs from the developers, he has never put in hard work to do anything in game and there are a few others that get the exact same treatment. I know this because I've been within the inner circle. Considering it's obvious that his casual tard brother and him know nothing about gaming or pvp, it makes you think what the real reason these people get the special treatment. I don't think Violation is one of the Double Agents that I'm talking about though, he just suffers from having more money than brain cells. He wins the developers over by being their flower girl, like the developers really give a fuck about a sissy annoying boy giggling like he wants some dick, it's all about the money and how far the person will bend over.

Yup, I always thought it was all about the $$ too. Lord British doesn't give off that same vibe though, I really wish he was in Austin Corp Por'n and takin heads.

I probably do need some sun.
The double agents that I'm talking about are very rare, I'm talking about staff members, or people they hired going in game under different names so you don't know who they are. Think of how many developers there are and ask yourself how many times you've seen most of these people in game? Even though some of them slip up and talk about experiences in game when they clearly weren't there under their known name. I have one developer on my friends list that their name kept changing every once in a while. You can see this because the people on the friends list are account bound and the name updates if the person that you added makes a new character with a different name. So fact is that this is happening in game, I was just wondering if you all ran into situations where you thought the person might be one of these people.
