So the first two episodes are out.
What yall think?
Personally, I found the original conspiracy ground breaking and after re-watching the whole original series (I wanted to be prepared for the new 6 part) I feel that the conspiracy has evolved in a logical manner. However, it does feel a little bit cliche and main stream for me. False flag and FIMA camps are pretty prevalent in the mass media now. I think what I loved about the original conspiracy was that the net wasnt as populated as it was now and these conspiracy and facts they used as basis for the story werent easy to come across, that they had obviously done their research when making the story. Now I just feel like im being bashed in the face with the obvious. Like no subtely
I also feel the mulder scully (who still looks fucking fantastic and still tops my list of women I want to date..the character not Gillian though she is in my top 5 celebrity) relationship seemed a bit forced.
Anyway nerd signing off.
FYI I love X files. Like Morde loves Star Wars

I'm not sold on the acting funnily enough. The thing that suck out the most to me is the argument they had on the porch of the Russian girl from The Americans; it was a very flat scene. It should have been a lot more heated. They have both been acting for some time and haven't been overly stale in terms of getting roles, so maybe this comes down to the Director.
I've only seen the first Episode. Maybe they come into it as they get back in touch with the show and each other. I am really glad they re-cast most of the old cast, especially Mitch P as Skinner, excellent and I hope he plays more of a role.
The first episode seemed rushed, covering too much too quickly? Hard to say. But what I did like was some of the terms being used like gravimagnetic drives and what not. I think they can go down a few angles with the show, but they have to make progress and have some wins not be constantly screwed out of getting the answers they want.
We will see!

First episode was rushed but clearly was establishing the scene for new viewer base.
Second episode hits the straps. I love the change in dynamic of Mulder n scully. Finally his obsession has consumed him and you can see it. Scully concerns etched on her face but still the intimacy between the two characters screams through their looks and glances even in a crowded room.
Mulder still grasping at the truth the facts there but not the true answer. A blind man holding an elephant

Saw the second episode, getting better Progressing at a very quick rate. Worried that the series is limited in episodes due to that, I've not looked it up to see if it is!

more spoilers below! dodgy - that 3rd episode...man...wtf where they thinking? I think that was made for a 4yr old. It was a throw back! Those two stoners have been in twice before, obvious the male being Tyler Labine. In their first appearance they were getting high off cow shit and their mate got killed by those programmed cockroaches! Then they were in another off the wall episode...cant remember which one though! IMDB will provide the answer! I enjoyed it, reminded me of the vampire episode with the story being told one side from Mulder and the other from Scully. It was the soul searching episode for Mulder leaving you going oh shit wtf. It also showed how the dynamic has changed. Scully is not the damsel in distress. While I have never found Scully playing the damsel I am worried if we are going to have feminism pushed on us again for the sake of feminism. Mulder was a pussy which if everyone remembers the originals he certainly isnt. All in all it was an off the wall thing to high light Mulders struggle with himself if his life is wasted and to set up the character for being reinvigorated for finding the truth. It also brough out the old Scully not seeing anything paranormal, only Mulder baring witness. Sorry this post is all over the shop. I really enjoyed it. Plus seeing Scully being sexual. Gillian Anderson is a fucking babe.
