I was reading updates on the way into work this morning and I saw the name of the mount they plan on handing out from the winter telethon. Now, forget the fact that there are no mounts in SotA and they aren't even slated for this episode, so I've got no idea how you're going to ride it. Different story. But it struck me, as they called it an icemare, there seems to be a lack of imagination.
Icemare obviously comes from Nightmare, which is a first edition D&D monster. It is well established. To take every mount you create and base it off that though, seems a bit boring!
Come up with something new and then create lore around it or even better visa versa, lore and then object.
In two minutes I came up with a short list of five examples without duplicating the use of the derivatives.
A Snowtrotter
A Frozan Horse
An Icestang
An Arctistallion
A Chillsteed
Granted this is an overly simplified example, but should illustrate the ease in which someone could have come up with a list of about 20 of these to hand up the team to pick from. Guarantee they could have come up with something better than icemare...

Skeleton, large skeleton, hardened skeleton.
That type of thing is for your typical "I don't want to think too much" type of gamer though. Colors and prefixes for difficulty, it is shameful though.

It's too early to judge. There may be perfectly legitimate lore reasons Outkabders brought with them the soothing tones of Jefferson Airplane but altered the spelling of common fauna.

Oh you gotta' be shitting me. When AvatarAcid & I met up in the game, he was laughing at the name. I noticed it long ago and ignored it since there's nothing I can do about it. But who names a scorpion, corpion? Really?

But who names a scorpion, corpion? Really? This all came from a slurring of the scorpian name by Chris in one of their hangouts...so they thought it would be funny to put it in game. Ha Ha...ha?

Is no aspect of this game derived from some sad joke?
Thanks though calico, this at least explains its origin.
