Eriador said, to Ravicus: But if someone paid that (really much) money just for the walls I understand that is time for Lord Andernut services.Ravicus said: "this is a very dismissive post. You should not be telling people to sell their accounts." Ravi, if I had a nickel for every time someone in the forum told me to sell my account (which I gladly did finally), I could have bought my account back. lol Karma is a bitch. The amount of times you've implied it is now applied to you. heh Who buys a $5000 pledge just for the walls of a Keep? Actually, I don't disagree with Ravi, that they just changed it under his nose and you can now buy walls in the add-on store (oh, surprise surprise lol). That's just the same ridiculousness they've done with everything. Rinse. Repeat.

More whales bailing: Deliverance's reply to Eriador: The fact that the developers didn't run this past the Dev+ forum leads me to believe they redesigned these specifically with the intent to create another desirable add-on store item. The walls fitted fine under a Keep or Castle lot, however this would not work so well on the smaller size lots so a redesign was necessary to allow for the removal of the stairs but by doing so it prevented access to the top of the keep walls. To resolve this it appears the developers decided to add ladders to all the pieces and thus the Dukes and LOTM keep walls where replaced with a different colour add on store item.
At any case this is a saw issue for me and not happy with how this played out.
@eriador Lord Andernut already knows how I feel about the game and has kindly offered his assistance in selling my account which I've taken under consideration. It's easy for me to understand why so many are leaving and if I was short on funds I would have left by now, but I've been hanging on as there have been some areas that have made real progress like changing the redesign of the skill system. I've written to the developers about my concerns and after waiting this long for the game, I'm willing to wait another 6 to 9 months for the expected alpha release to make my decision.

I like how they're concerned about their unique walls, like, "How will people know we have something special?"
Here's a start: you spent $5,000 on a fucking digital wall on a make-believe island in a game no one will play.

I agree with you dewd, but also agree with Ravi. If he put that chunk of change on it due to how it looks, they shouldn't just change it.
I mean, if you ordered a rare edition of anything and they made it look different, I think you'd be bent out of shape. I know I would. But then, I don't order rare editions of anything because, you know, it's just frickin' STUFF.

I agree with you dewd, but also agree with Ravi. If he put that chunk of change on it due to how it looks, they shouldn't just change it. Totally. In fairness, he did order A and got A-. It's still A, but it isn't the A he ordered. Now, if he spent $30, sure, that's not a big deal, but no matter how inherently stupid it is to pay that kind of money for anything on this game, it's still a ton of cash. I can understand the aggravation. Where I laugh is they are upset that their "STUFF" as you put it, isn't what they bought. Funny, 'cause the "STUFF" (aka, the whole fuckin' game) that we "bought" isn't the way it was presented either, but what did they tell us? Same thing they're being told now. "Sell your account or deal with it."

Ya, hilarious to see the tables turned on them, the same ones they dish out to people who wanted something that was promised in KS instead of the piece of crap it's become.

They got a response from Darkstarr in that thread. See, we need to keep posting how hilarity ensues over here, so that he reacts over there. lol

It was a pretty good suggestion of Drocis, at least would make walls look real. Only problem is, I can just see it now. Kind of like walking by houses with flamingos or gnomes littering the yard everywhere.
Hey Portalarium, I really think you should add flamingos and gnomes to the add-on store.

They could sell even more hedges in the add-on store, like this....

If this were truly a sandbox, we could carve hedges like that and they would just grow back over time. Problem is they are so shit scared about someone doing a hedge penis they'd never allow it. That, and I doubt they could code it.

Some people want Cannons, weapon racks and ammo, purple bombs scattered about, other unsightly trash and junk parts sitting atop wine barrels with glass ware (some broken) also. All piled around and random small windmill, with a five story basement. Thats' my pad. Or there will be yard police and game limit or defeating design, It' wont be UO. My point being the freedom to create your personal pad. Sicher wants his dumpy windmill, will he get it?

I don't mind seeing penis shrubbery in the game. As long as I can:
1. analyse forensically to find out who created it 2. burn it to the ground 3. track the crafter 4. end the crafter

If you create something, people will find ways to create a penis with it.
