Did you guys see this Steam review? Mediocre Gamer is the person's name, and I don't know why they gave the game a "recommend," but this is hilarious:
Bought this knowing it wasnt gonna be ready for awhile, but i will talk with my 13yo son and maybe his kids will enjoy it if its done by then. Figure around 2025 or 2030 it should be ready when Richard is a 102 yo.

Is it just still the Richard effect, when I get the feeling that if he was more directly involved this game would be better? The stuff he was saying in kick start isn't getting done. But he said it.
I hate to think of my childhood gaming hero as an outright liar, but is it so or is it just the team working on the game don't know their ass from a hole in the ground.

SotA is not a Lord British game. It is a Portalarium game. Who the fuck is Portalarium? The makers of Ultimate Collector.

Its not like LB was of greater importance at any point of his career.
I bet 90% of you don't know the names of people who made Ultima Online. The people responsible for all the cool features. The innovations. The spirit.
Can anyone name at least two of them besides Raph Koster? Thought so.
Richard is more like Gaben, or George Lucas. He's a businessman, good ot organizing people, making them work together.

And those names should be known. Any true fan should take the time to write to all those people and thank them for their work and dedication. They gave us something really important and magneficent. *wipes manly tears*

Shroud Unlimited, the game!
Or better yet, how about Shard Unlimited, the UO freeserver.

I have no idea. I know you'd have to pay for a server, and get some knowledgeable staff, but that's about it. When I did it with some friends, we used Pandora, but I hear that the program is too outdated to use now.

The way I see it, every time one of his games fails, he blames someone else. It started with EA, and went downhill from there. Ultimate Collector failed, but RG talked it up as if it was innovative even though it was trying to emulate other Zynga games. They failed at emulating it. The brains behind UO was not RG, and like templara says, the folks who were the brains should be thanked. I'll never understand the RG fan club. Never have, never will.

Stop fucking shitting out free servers. Spreading the population is dumb. We need to actually have no more than 10 free servers worldwide. Thats when it would be cool.

If only we had 10,000 more free servers maybe interest in the game would grow.

There was a project before sota to bring UO game play to unity.
I'm trolling around the unity forums to find more info
