I know it's been brought up before, and we're all trying out different games, but I figured I'd ask: Any games we can play? Does anyone want to play a game? Dunno' what y'all play or are interested in playing, but I figured I'd ask in case there was any interest or similar games to play together.

I tried pathfinder at the advice of some here. I thought someone said it was totally F2P but after signing up and not being able to get it to run, they sent me an e-mail saying account deactivation unless I pay in 5 days. Lulz.
I haven't played UO since around 2005 or 06. I might be willing to try out a decent freeshard if any are still into that.
I've never played eve because everything I read tends to tell me that if you didn't start years ago, might as well give up and not even try.
But yeah, as your sexy mask says I want to play a game too. I wish it was going to be a kickass SotA game, but alas, never happen.

But yeah, as your sexy mask says I want to play a game too. I wish it was going to be a kickass SotA game, but alas, never happen. That was me. lol I guess it isn't free; my wife was playing it, but then she got into Witcher and is playing that, and I've been binging on Dark Souls. How did you like Pathfinder? It seems like it's really early, but I'm hoping it's somewhat successful. I'm not yet sold on all these isometric " UO successors"; they seem a little shallow. I played Ultima Online Forever freeshard for about a year and a half, had some great success there, but I may be burnt out on UO. I go pretty hard on UO, with clear goals and campaigns, and have been for the last 15-16 years I played it. If it was a fresh shard with some cool features, maybe, but UOF had some of the best features outside of Angel Island. Had a lot of stupid rules, too, though, and the PvP is fairly dogshit (no stamina loss mounted combat). I enjoyed it for the politics and the naval combat, which was spectacular. Too bad they deleted both 40+ page threads of our official licensing gimmick; those were some fun times. I have some early stuff from my old forums to give an idea about the sort of stuff we did, but it pales in comparison to our good work on UOF. Other than that, I don't really play anything with regularity MMO-wise outside of PlanetSide 2. I wouldn't ever try EvE, either, it doesn't appeal to me.

I couldn't get it running on my PC, tossed errors on logging in, didn't have time to troubleshoot.
Look at the state of MMOs, how could you not make a better one in this market lulz.

That's weird. She was able to load it up pretty quick and easy.
I'd even settle for some multi-player games, but I'm not into the common MOBAs like most others. I wouldn't mind trying some other games, if anyone plays some cool ones, even if they're old. I ran a toaster for a PC for years so now that I have a gaming rig, it's like, "Oh, all these cool games from 2009! ... oh, no one plays Mount & Blade anymore? Damnit."

I would recommend a freeshard, but the only one with any real talent and success is UOF these days, and I feel I've made my mark there already. I still have some people I know play there, and if I went back, it wouldn't be pretty. Are there any good F2P games or even older games that you play? Any new ones y'all are interested in jumping into?

All good, great to have a rest from something. I am totally game free at the moment though. So if two or more of you guys sign on to something I will probably follow and try.

Well the only one that fits the bill is eve We could make a group of suicide gankers I'm not down for EvE, personally, but I would implore y'all not to pass it up if it's something you want to play together just 'cause I wouldn't want to. I had a grand old time there. When did you play, Mordecai? Do you remember the Free City of Trinsic (finalized by Richard when he came to UOF to advertise SotA)or the Crew of the Black Wind? Here are some games I've got (though not necessarily played yet) or would be willing to get with a dedicated group: ArmA and ArmA2 (with expansions) Mount & Blade: WarbandPayday 2PlanetSide 2 (New Conglomerate/Connery) UO (though I'd have to go in with a dedicated group and a campaign to do something cool, not just random PKing)

Yes and No Dewd. I remember the invasion of Trinsic (that was UOF right?) and the garbage Peevee. I don't remember when I started, but I've gone through one house-deletion from inactivity if that's any measure.

Invasions of Trinsic have happened since pre-Trammel, and there were at least two NPC invasions during my time there.

Yeah there isn't much Peevee at all on UOF, let alone Peeveepee.

Yeah there isn't much Peevee at all on UOF, let alone Peeveepee. I would have shown you some posts of mine, but most were deleted within the last six months. I'm sure something dramatic pushed that along. I had two huge ass threads about ship licensing, plus a bunch of story/RP posts. Most are gone. Here are some, though. www.uoforum.com/threads/the-trinsic-gourd.36528/www.uoforum.com/threads/a-dose-of-trinsic-justice.34231/page-2Nothing too fancy. Mostly still posts from the First and Second Paws Wars I found. They seem to have completely obliterated any signs of our piracy privateering, which is a stupid move, considering it would have done wonders for advertising their naval combat mechanics.
