What did everyone's thoughts on what was said in the R19 Post retard stream?
I'll tell what I took away from it. -There is talk between the developers whether to develop a system which gives players RARE rewards for having a certain amount of twitch viewers. Why the shit is this even being discussed? or having thoughts wasted on something so stupid? Just another low life scheme to try get free marketing because their game sucks so bad that it alone can't bring in players.
-In a future Dev Hangout, they will be doing shots for every person that upgrades their pledge? Another try hard scheme to do something because the game is that bad that they need to resort to stuff like this to bring in money.
-Comment made that suggested that only "Duke Violation" knows of the coming combat changes. I know why but it amazes me that the developers choose to look towards Violation for combat suggestions, development suggestions, the guy that doesn't even game, doesn't even know what he likes himself, since he's changed his thought process 1000 times since pre alpha started. Could it be because Violation tries so hard to make it look like he knows what he's talking about? that he buys the developers presents? Most likely.
-Just taking a guess here but by the sounds of it, there won't be much in the form of cheat protection implemented, but instead they will rely on "Catching them". Judging by the lack of care they already have given for anything bug related, exploit related, how they miss an incredible amount of stuff, sounds like a great idea to rely on people with no attention span to protect the game.
-Combat going to free aim, YES please, if only the developers listened to me before combat was even in the game, we would already have a great system, instead the game is slowly progressing towards that, wasted a lot of time in the process. It's good to see that Chris finally pulled his head out of his ass, realizing that his deck system, combat system was the shittiest thing ever. Changing combat like this will be the best move the game can make.
-Wrape Phinisfyre is a jabba the hutt faggot. That's one sensitive grumpty turd forsure.
-lul @ Chris Spears commenting on the "Angry Forums"
Now only if we can get rid of this trash camera system bound to right mouse button and add in blocking mechanics instead.

I wouldn't mind it changing for the better, there isn't much else to play at the moment mmorpg wise. If it managed to develop into a semi interesting combat system, I'd play it. That'll never excuse these developers doing extremely dumb stuff though. I also love how these developers are using the episodes as excuses for stuff that they can't do, almost like it's Beta 1 2.. etc until the game is fully released years later. That's a long time away before we will even see a full game. Some of the stuff they mention to be pushing off for other episodes seem to be core mechanics, or important mechanics... lul

This, is a pretty fucking funny read, thank you boys, I have to go watch R19 post retard vid though before I can comment. The twitch thing. Will. Make. Me. RAGE.
I can picture it now. Chics, dancing around trying to skirt by the new dress code in twitch, mimicking their emotes IRL while they collect hats. Fucking kill me now.

Twitch has a dress code? lul yea I know it does but I see so many league of legends girls getting donations, subscriptions from desperate guys, just because they wear super low cut tops. I'm sure all those people are there to watch league of legends right? the crappiest game to ever hit mainstream casual. Twitch is a disgrace to gaming.
Would be funny if you had your own weekly newspaper or something, to bad that these books probably will be moderated like crazy.

Too many fucktards were stripping down and putting on lingerie and dancing around between load screens or just to show tits for views. Disgrace.

I missed most of the hangout. will have to watch tomorrow. No surprise to see the same old names and faces, same old circle jerk and sycophancy. Disappointed the dev team sees what was genuine desire to participate as malicious trolling. Fuck them all. When I saw the KS, I was turned off by the prices and P2W vibe I was getting from everything... but, when I saw things like scene jams, PotA, and even the early CoA stuff... it convinced me that something special was being built and I wanted to support it. I feel like a fool having supported such an exploitative team of jackals. I'm no fucking troll. Just because I spoke out against Steam Review Request, pledge changes (when Lord Trenyc raised some hell about it), and the customized PoTs they decide to kick me (and so many like me) to the curb. Fucking ingrates. They deserve the flaming pile of failure they are building. When you treat those who give their genuine feedback like we are just malicious trolls, karma's gonna be a bitch......

Of all the insignificant things that cause small issues in SotA, the use of "troll" as an umbrella moderation mechanism gets under my skin the most. This is because of the needless damage it causes (between you and me, I'd like to see SotA succeed). To some degree or another, moderation is necessary on the SotA forum. When people are moderated, silenced, they generally want a reason given. If they're told they were offensive, profane, or inciteful (assuming they don't realize that "inciteful" isn't a word), they're more apt to come to terms with the moderation and move on. However, if you justify your moderation by labeling people with blanket slang terms pulled from the darkest anals of 4chan's /b/, you're probably going to offend people. To Fire Lotus, Chris Spears, Lum, and any other SotA staff who may read this, look at the above anger caused by deeming people trolls. Is it really necessary? Is there no better term you can use to ground your moderation? I understand that internet culture is exceedingly popular, and I also understand that "troll" is perfect in its vagueness for general use, but it screams unprofessionalism like a pubescent thirteen year old boy screaming >OP is a faggot over 9000 battletoads' bases are belong to Tacgnol the divine I for one welcome our new inb4 unmotivational meme newfag cp For something as sobering and order-oriented as the rules, there has to be a better source of inspiration than trashy internet culture. Somewhere out there, I'm sure there is a word we can use to justify whatever bans we want that not only isn't as offensive to the general populace, but also isn't grounded in a culture built on the ideal of moderation-free discussion (a culture which subsequently became known for its vulgarity, illegal content, and capacity to catalyze terrible events, including arrests, targeted spamming, DDOS attacks, child-porn advertizing, and even suicides).
