Recently the game Chaos Ride was removed from Steam by the game developer due to the overwhelming negative reviews it received. Worried that Chaos Ride will be grouped up with all the other shitty cash grab games on Steam, they went ahead and removed it. Still it seems to be well deserving of its reviews. Will SotA suffer the game fate or will it continue to be the king of steam's shit filled indie game scams? blogjob.com/oneangrygamer/2015/06/chaos-ride-removed-from-steam-due-to-negative-reviews/

I guess sota would need waaaay more negative reviews to get removed. I think we should write a petition to Steam, sign it. Explain how SotA is just a money grabbing machine, include every example we can collect, every proof.
Anyone down?

Had there not been a request from the developer to make only positive reviews, I am sure it would be on its way already.
That is really the only thing that saved them from a shitty 65% already.

Wishful thinking. It's not next.
The game still tracks as 'mostly positive'. It would have to get firmly in the negative category for Port to entertain the idea. Considering Port lives in a dream world where their game is AWESOME!!!, I highly doubt they would do it at that point either.

If it wasn't for Starr's rallying cry, I truly wonder how those scores would look. Not to mention most of the people who upped and left did so before it went to Steam as well as sold their accounts, so they couldn't drop that negative review.
My crossroad is sell my account for $15 or activate it on Steam to leave my own negative review.

I find it funny that my review and two of my friend's reviews (all negative) were flagged. It took Port 2 months to convince Steam to ban my post. At least it was out there for a while so I feel my concerns were heard. It did get 50% helpful, so at least that's a small win.

They released way too early on Steam. Their hodgepodge quasi pseudo iterative agile process is a joke. They are at concept, pre-alpha, alpha, beta, and complete all at the same time and you'd never know which feature was at which stage.
Honestly, Steam should pull the game, and force them to get to Beta, which by Portarium's definition is feature and content complete. No new features, just pure balancing, bug fixes and polish. At least then everyone would finally see what the hell this game is about and trying to achieve. With their current model, they are iterating across all stages simultaneously and are tripping over their own feet with every release. This thing isn't going to ship until 2018. If it releases any earlier, especially end of this year, it'll be a steaming pile of turd. But if they're smart, they should cut scope and regain focus on actual game development.
