Yeah it looks kind of fun, but since it's such a new kind of pokemon game, I expect they'll need at least two iterations to get it really good.

I've been playing and it's effect in the US has to be seen to be believed. There were people out all over town meeting at pokestops and gyms, hunting for Pokemon. I was one of them. It has been really crazy just meeting up with people of all ages and striking up conversations on the street.
That said, the game is missing many features discussed in the trailer. Hopefully those things (trading, one on one battles and group battles) will be added over time.
I've also spent 0 dollars on it thus far. It's dumb fun. I say this as someone who has never played a Pokemon game before.

So you get Pokemon Go, and as if by a stroke of God, you find your six favorite pokemon and manage to catch them all. What are they?

I know some have used this video before but how much different has GO become from what we've truly been on here against.
I known some people that are all hyped about this but years ago would call Pokémon stupid and childish.
People in general are just sad.

I've never played a Pokemon game before this. I probably called it childish before.
That said, I've had fun with it. I've spent $1.00 (in credit earned from the Google Rewards App which is a great way to get free Play Store credit if you are unaware). It's nice to go out for a stroll with my 2 year old and tell her we are going to catch Pokemon and actually show them to her on my phone. It's been cool to head to a Pokestop and chat with complete strangers simply because we both have an app on our phones.
Will I be playing in a week? Probably not. It has given me a fun, unique and unexpected experience. That's something not often found in games.

I've played all and beat the majority of them.
My phone is a tool not a toy.
My computer is a tool and a toy.
My 3DS is a toy which I play Pokemon.
Pokemon GO in itself doesn't bother me and looks cool.
The hype machine it's on is what bothers me. That's the world we live in.
I mean Kim Kardashian was in the top 50 celeb gross earners of last year. What did she do? Give us some nudies? Lol

I uninstalled today.
It was fun for a few days, but it is incredibly shallow.
Now I just have to hope my kid stops asking to catch Pokemon.

Not really surprised about it being shallow.
I liked Pokémon because it's very similar to Final Fantasy in which I have a weird obsession about. There both turn based games and I just love turn based rpg's.
I must say though I can't wait for this game...
Nintendo always has hidden gems.

From what I understand, the combat in Pokemon games is interesting. In Go, again from what I've read, the combat is very different, stripped down, and it is most definitely not interesting.
The new Zelda looked interesting, what little I saw of it last year. I haven't watched any of this year's e3 footage yet though.
No matter how bad Nintendo cocks things up, I remain a fan. I always purchase their new consoles and then decide which of the other two I'll purchase. Despite the fact that there are usually few quality games on each console they release, I find those few games justify my purchase.

Jigglypuff Pikachu Snorlax Meowth Squirtle Drowzee Aha! A gen-wunner I see. Excellent selection, especially with Jiggs and Drowzee. From what I understand, the combat in Pokemon games is interesting. In Go, again from what I've read, the combat is very different, stripped down, and it is most definitely not interesting I haven't played Go yet, and probably won't, but the combat in the standard pokemon games has a deceiving amount of depth to it. My top 6 btw (nicknames and shiny status included): Mega Farfetch'd (Howard) Delibird (Dilibird) Honchkrow - shiny (IcebergSlim) Golurk - shiny (J. Money) Nidoking Psyduck/Qwilfish (hacked HM slaves) I'm a bird keeper at heart.
