Simple question. Going by what has happened to a great many kickstarters now and with me in this SotA experience... Can kickstarter be the worst thing to have ever happened to gaming?
1. Make promise 2. Collect cash 3. Produce, something shit not even close to promises 4. Call it "finished" or file for bankruptcy 5. Adventure over

Everything is risk v reward especially at a basic survival level. In case of KS basically the reward is given at the start and then the risk begins in the production. Obviously no more reward risk becomes harder to rationalize eventually wheels fall off. In the form of shoddy workmanship or bailing with the cashola

Yup, and it isn't like we can grab our bows and go take down the buffalo that eat all our green either... Exactly. And the reason they went the KS route. No overseeing company to answer to, pretending to answer to customers who paid them a lot of money. And those customers make it into a shit game. These failures are happening all over the place on KS. What should be a good idea, these unethical companies are twisting to their advantage and ruining the KS experience for everyone. I know I will never invest in any KS project again.

I thought SotA was going there, at least so I think they wanted to go there during the KS ended. That would be aorund 1 month BW(before whale).

Ya, just today I considered picking up Shards again (after myrcello posted about it & that some of you have mentioned it too). But, after discussing it with my sweetie, we both can't see doing the same thing again, no matter how interesting or promising. But we'll be keeping an eye on it for sure.

Yeah you always have the option of buying into it later for sure. The systems in place are a more decentralized online muliplayer game, but that isn't always bad. Dewd will tell me to take my minecraft ways and fuck right off though

So on KS you cannot make your profile private or hide what you have backed to others... Nor can you delete previous comments you made.
KS is the devil.
