Apparently no Christmas sales to bring their numbers up. They continue to lose customers. How long will they exist for a few hundred players? Does anyone predict they won't make it to Ep. 2 unless they use some odd name to claim it is in that episode? How long do you think those few dozen people will continue to blame a "toxic community" instead of bad game development? Month

It's going to be a long haul to the next release as the game continues to die out.

Actually, Shroud was 50% off during the Steam Winter Sale, so it's still at £14.99 in the UK... but it doesn't seem to have shifted the game totals at all, except for the slow continuing trend down as you show. You can look at Steamcharts too and see that it's hovering around the same number of active players as a week before the sale too, which indicates that however many new players came in, they aren't really staying.
The figures are back to being as low as they were just before Portalarium felt they needed to go persistent to keep the game alive... Chris Spears is now claiming the game is 80% done, so the next few months must surely be make-or-break time in their perceptions; but then again, they probably will just keep squeezing the backers until the money dries out. I still hold to my viewpoint that they'll launch an Episode 2 kickstarter, as it provides the best way to blame the audience not being there for why they will abandon the project... and it is an abandonment, they promised 5 episodes as rewards for the original kickstarter, and they were supposed to honor that.

Wouldn't it be nice to blow 11 million, and make only a few dozen people happy? Not care about the original 26,000 who donated and obviously not even half of those log in anymore? No consequences to estranging the backers? I call that a scam. Ya, they really "listened" to their backers. Not.
