14 accounts, more than $40,000 invested. This is according to his recent Steam review.

He has a contentious relationship with here and probably for good reason. There was a time when there were multiple people who in all likelihood were not envy were posting as him.
The forum also earned a name for itself as a den of racism a while ago. It probably kept a few with legitimate concerns about the game from posting here.
Besides, I'm sure he wishes the game to succeed and I think a good deal of people believe this is a place filled with people who want it to fail. It may be true for some here. I doubt envy would want to contribute to that. He seems to enjoy the game enough to put almost 2000 hours and 40,000 pounds into it. It's too bad it worked out for him like it has.

I doubt envy would want to contribute to that. He seems to enjoy the game enough to put almost 2000 hours and 40,000 pounds into it. It's too bad it worked out for him like it has. Envy was absolutely terrible and dismissive toward any who dared question aspects of the game, its funding model, or its community. You might think it is too bad for him, but I believe he (above all others) deserves this. You simply cannot be that nasty and dismissive toward people who are simply expressing genuine concerns about the game and its funding model only to turn around and bemoan how awful its community is when the same type of shit starts to blowback onto you. Simply put, he was part of the problem he claims to now hate. It is people like him who contributed to the elitist, entitled, lords vs serfs type of mentality that permeates that forum and its developers. He is a hypocrite and two-faced as far as I'm concerned and he deserves every bite of humble pie he will have to choke down now that he's finally been kicked to the curb by Port. I hope over time, as he wrestles with the fact that he was wrong (UTTERLY WRONG) about so many things, he might actually gain some self-awareness from all of this and not be such an insufferable prick to people who were only trying to speak their mind and prevent Port from making huge mistakes (that we all can now see proved just as fatal and damaging as most of us predicted). In other words, it couldn't have happened to a nicer fellow.

Overall, he's stepped over boundaries many times and true, he was a dick to people.
I don't think, in this particular case, his ban was warranted. That's not to say that he shouldn't have been banned on other occasions (like when he compared to me as a piece of shit on Port's forums).
I'm sorry it worked out like this for him. That isn't to say he hasn't brought a lot of it on himself or that he's blameless. He's been an antagonistic, egotistical jerk to people there.

Envy's review has disappeared. Maybe his ban has as well.

Envy was close to it already.
He recently called a forum poster he was disagreeing with a 'flower'. That got deleted. So fast, I didn't have time to go back and get a screenshot.
The guy is a caustic little twat. I don't feel bad for him AT ALL.
Besides, I'm the REAL Envy, bitches!

Given he's deleted the negative review, I think it is possible Berek made a decision against a high dollar backer that was then overruled. I doubt they'd ban Envy.
Starr claimed some time ago every backer was treated equally regardless of financial investment. If Envy's ban has been lifted, they can't even pretend to make that case any longer.
It sure seems like Berek disliked Envy's thread

His negative review shows how he really feels, even after giving 40k into it. Must suck living a lie.

His review was just him throwing a fit and pressuring port to reverse course. He even said something to the effect that he would remove it if the situation changed (implying he would play nice like the little toad they require you to be only if they removed the ban).
Guy has zero integrity or spine. Doesn't hold fast to what he believes and throws around the weight of his contributions to get his way.
Just look at what happened with Dallas and the proposal to have an unmoderated section of the forums after precious envy threw a hissy fit. As always, port cowtowed to him and showed they had no balls when it comes to high donors, despite the fact that *he* is the walking epitome of toxic.
Anyway apologies for spouting off my typical nonsense. Just had to speak up because I feel his nasty conduct practically demands a ban and it was long overdue, yet time and time again, we see port's utter inability to back up their words with actions that stick (unless you're outside of their little circle of special flowers, then you better believe your ban will be permanent no matter what)....

I don't suppose someone grabbed a screenshot did they? The Wayback Machine doesn't have a recent archive of the steam reviews. Come back Insane, we need you!
Envy should have been banned years ago, when he started posting videos of himself openly insulting and mocking players who went to the PvP zones for the hat rewards; rather than working together to make PvP the best they could, he couldn't wait even one release to start abusing others. And the forums let that thread ride for weeks, which disgusted me. I gather there was some private, invitation only testing of PvP for the Dev+ backers, but the public face of that side of the content was Envy and his videos calling people chicken; and Portalarium just ignored it.

I will unfortunately didn't get a screenshot of that, but as kB said above, he left himself an out and stated he'd re remove the negative review if things changed.
If memory serves he called the game 'ok' said it needed 'a lot of work' and said he'd contributed $40,000 in and did a bunch of shit for the game despite the community being 'toxic'.

Vallo, one of DoD guild members, made a post pleading for Envy's return which has now been locked. Funny that. Vallo left a pretty bad Steam review himself. That is, if it's the same Vallo. He also said his negative review would stay unless things change. steamcommunity.com/id/govallo/recommended/326160/Maybe he's joining the ban Envy clan, to stick together in all the crap they create.

I've always had a suspicion that Envy and Vallo are one and the same. They way they write and fire off personal attacks are eerily similar. SaveSave

Not sure if they changed. If you search for him using "Posted by Member", his name (E n v y) no longer comes up, only E n v y II - E n v y XII, which is strange. However, if you find one of his posts you can get to his profile...his last post was Monday AM. SaveSave

Whoever Vallo is he also linked a post in the MMORpg site from Rune_74 where the latter distributed info on his infractions and bannings. They locked that right away, seems to go against they only ban for good reason.
