linklinkSo, nearly a year from final release of Episode 1, episode 2 has started getting attention. They've admitted there is a ton of work that needs to be completed and they've pushed a lot of content off until after the wipe in July. It seems starting episode 2 content now, is maybe a bit, premature?

But, odd! Maybe this would be staff that no longer has anything to do on E1? It is hard to think of a staff position that still doesn't have work to do in E1 as far as I would judge it's readiness state though...

It's probably just housing for EP2, or assets/content from different teams that are done with EP1 content. It's not unusual for this type of staggered development to occur in silo'd teams, from what I've seen in other similar games. Don't misunderstand me, I think everyone possible should be working on July 28th deadlines, that can be. But if your job is sound, for example, and all the sound is done for that milestone.. you work on future sound.  |

Problem here is nothing is done for episode 1. They plan on releasing whenever? Or never? It'll be done right before the kickstarter for Ep 2. They will have to ask for a low amount because people will not back. However, you go on MMO sites and people seem generally excited in the comments. I would also assume they will drop any semblance of being related to the early ultimas. |

They are doing a kickstarter for episode 2 too? I guess it will be more rent free house lot deeds horses and ships galore. They need to get episode 1 better first.

They need to get episode 1 better first. from what they stated very early on, they planned on doing KSs for each episode. Whether that remains the case is something they haven't addressed. |

However, I think saying that work on EP will increase from here when major selling points of the game (like an active overland map) have been pushed beyond final wipe. I think I'd find it more understandable if come July, people transitioned to EP2. At least then a significant portion of the Multiplayer aspect of the game will at least be live. Looking at the game's current state and what they've outlined for July, it seems that virtually every aspect of the team has work to put in. Then again, maybe they've just started early shopping for Unity assets for Episode 2. |

What is the estimate for early on? I know that is the general feel now, but when about do you first remember hearing? I don't think they have ever written it, just said crap like "kickstart if required for ep2" and were hinting about it a few times. I've mentioned it before, it is an odd thing because if the kickstart doesn't work for any episodes 2 - 5 then what happens to the people who bought all 5 episodes up front? |

If they dont get their act together they wont have anyone but the whales to try and keep them afloat. Dance parties dont cut it for content. its such a disaster atm but i cant look away from it lol
