So you're essentially saying it's better for someone like Envy to make all the profits, and for a customer to somehow trust a dickhead like him. That's the way I see it anyway.

Until you explained yourself, that's the way it came across to me. Sorry for that, but in successive posts, I excluded you if that wasn't what you were doing. I'm a bit put off by your ultra sensitive reaction. But whatever. I'm sorry if you think I was accusing you. I can understand being upset at Portalarium and not wanting them to make another dime. My husband's reaction was the same until I calmed him down. Then he saw where I was coming from. You haven't been exactly non-bearing on the subject.

Why assume the worst about me until I prove myself excluded? Guilty until proven innocent? The very point I was making is that it's not fair to assume those who are asking Port for these types of services are doing so hoping to turn a profit and rip people off. You can exclude me all you want after the fact, but the truth remains: you took what I was saying in the worst possible light and assumed the worst about me, and now you brush off my negative reaction as "ultra sensitive"? I wonder how you'd react if somebody did the same to you and sullied your name in such a fashion. Also, the fact that you think I don't want Port to make another dime because I'm upset at them shows that you still totally misunderstand what I was saying. I was trying to point out that, in the long run, they stand to gain more by NOT charging their customers for piddly shit like this (or, in another way of looking at it, they will lose more money in the long run if they embrace anti-consumer practices such as fees on customer service requests). Far too often, companies think that fees like this will help the bottom line, when in fact, it drives more people away and exacerbates an already serious problem with customer retention. You were so busy assuming the worst about me and slaying some straw man argument that I wasn't even making that you totally ignored what I was really saying. I guess part of that is because I suck at concision and the analogies I drew were poor, but it's too frustrating for me to continue interacting with somebody who coldly minimizes my objections to her unfair assumptions by dismissing them as "ultra sensitive" and then throwing in one of these bullshit "I'm sorry if you think..." kind of half apologies that are all too common today (like when some public figure makes an ass of themselves on social media and then apologizes by saying "I'm sorry if group XYZ was offended by what I said" ... as if the offense stems from the offended party's overly sensitive nature, not the offensive remark itself). So, yeah. You refuse to apologize and continue to look past what I was really saying. I have no idea why a simple "my bad" is so out of line to expect after you all but likened me to Envy, somebody many here (including yourself) have stated time and time again is an asshole. All I was trying to interject is the point that even if Port were getting $25 or a percentage from these kinds of transactions, that doesn't necessarily mean the game would improve from the added revenue (which is an assertion you made when you said things like "I was actually sticking up for Port to make more money. And why? Because I wanted a game produced."). Just because a company has more money, doesn't necessarily mean that money is invested in improving the goods and services of that company. They've made seven million more than they asked for and look at what a shit state the game is in. Do you honestly think thousands more from fees like what you propose would really translate into an improved product? They've shown time and time again that it's a matter of incompetence and genuine lack of care for their customers that is the problem, not a lack of funds. Anyway, I'm done. Call me overly sensitive all you want, but at least I didn't accuse you of being shady based on shit you've never said (and if I did, I would own up to it and admit I was wrong).

The main reasons I don't think they should be charging a fee, myself: 1. I do not think it is the norm in the industry. It is typically with earned in-game credits or free. 2. They didn't start off charging, they've turned a free service into a paid service and that is never going to be good. 3. I do not believe that the process is streamlined if a person has to manually transfer accounts, credits, or whatever so it indicates a process issue. 4. I don't believe that this was taking too much time for people to action at the office due to quick response indicators from most of the community.
For these reasons and a few more minor ones I come down heavily on the side that they shouldn't be allowed to do this, now.

kb I did apologize. In addition, I excluded you from the accusation. I don't think there's any need to accuse me of thinking the most outrageous and worst about you, and cut me some slack. I really don't appreciate being lambasted when I didn't do anything close to that to you. Remember, not everyone is out to get you. What do you want? Blood? People can make honest mistakes. No need to be a complete dick about it.

I really don't appreciate being lambasted when I didn't do anything close to that to you. Remember, not everyone is out to get you. What do you want? Blood? People can make honest mistakes. No need to be a complete dick about it. You did not, at least not in the eyes of this "complete dick." A good, sincere apology is one where you own up to what you did wrong and state you are sorry for that specific action, not outright avoiding responsibility, minimizing your actions with conditional statements, and then shifting the blame onto the aggrieved individual. Between this avoidance of admitting you did anything wrong: Then downplaying what you did with a conditional statement about how you alleviated the slight AFTER the damage was already done: And then totally undercutting the whole notion of making peace in the first place by casting the blame back at me: I hardly see any real desire to admit wrong-doing or to let me know there was no harm meant in the above. Just somebody who is half apologizing by pinning it all back on the person who was wronged. So, yeah, I guess it's obvious to say but "apology" not accepted, and complete dick or not, avoiding, minimizing, and redirecting blame is not apologizing, regardless of any "I'm sorry" inserted at the start of it. I made it clear immediately when I took offense to being likened to Envy and having words put in my mouth. Not once did you step back and sincerely admit crossing a line. I'm done with this and done with you. Call me all the names you like. I'm not the one who associated a bunch of bullshit lies to the other person, characterizing them as greedy and full of ill-intentions, and then was too proud to admit the mistake and offer a real gesture of contrition. ~Ultra sensitive "complete dick", signing off.

lol no superiority complex there, no sir <takes IM down a couple notches> Envy has me believing I spawned all you from my hate hmm, so you're saying we have a shot at being able to take you out, as a good majority of mythos have the new generations spring from a (typically) violent death to the previous generation, say... maybe we tie you to a chair and make you watch the SotA trailer over and over. Works for me.
