www.shroudoftheavatar.com/forum/index.php?threads/j-wilson-slime.42061/We are just 10-15 people that might be pushing it. If in reality our little community actually causes any disruption within the creation of Sota. That is of their own doing, from their own failures. To even mention or resource back to anything within this site is sadly a cry for hopeless dreams. I would pat you on the back but your obviously too stubborn and diluted to see how far thy grace has fallen. This wasn't funny, an insult or well thought through. Might as well post a link to these forums while your out promoting us. This posts just goes to show that IM has actually won. Go gather the groupies to get the steam rating above mixed for the third time and learn how to evaluate crap games from shit games.

Starr liked it, classy
On second thought, you know, it's probably a badge of honor. A guy giving his honest opinion about a game and its many problems (which, at launch, had its fair share of problems) gets memorialized by an obviously biased dev team. Doesn't seem so different from what we've got going on here. So, well played Envy and Starr!

If they blame just a handful of people, or especially only one person, on the failing game, it just shows they refuse to admit they were wrong. They'd rather blame someone else.
I agree with argyle though, I'd take it as a badge of honor. heh

There are a shit ton of periods happening around here now. Clearly we have, as I am positive all of the Shroudies over there already think, synced' up our cycles. Perhaps that slime should be red and not green? Ewwwwww. Sorry

Though you didn't set out to be one, I'm certain of that. Kudos!

Not only would making a great game be good for them, but it would prove whether we really were slime by showing whether we actually cared about the game being good or not. Unfortunately, if you're not going to get a good game, having named slimes may be the only victory they get. Myself, I now rejoice that I don't have to resort to such petty "victories" to feel good about myself, or the company I keep here...

I don't know, even if the game were to become successful, it will forever be a failure to me and a whole lot of friends and family who didn't make the mistake of investing in such cash grabbing garbage

Envy is pathetic. Starr even moreso. Scapegoating won't deflect the blame for this mess, despite their best efforts to point the finger at IM and the rest of us here.
I have no idea what "jwilson" said about UO in his review, but I would wager some of his criticism was fair. Consider the following:
A quote like that also sheds a lot of light on just how bad the "trolls" here really are.
Just as the UO fans were particularly vicious because many mistakes were made early on in that game (and even later on), I think some of us were simply "passionate about the game, very passionate" and it was wrong to cast us out like they did.
If only they had an effective community rep who could have helped channel our passions and headed off a lot of the problems before they snowballed into irreconcilable differences, I think things could have turned out much more differently (and had a positive outcome for all parties involved).

I find it highly questionable that Starr would "like" a post like that. From one of the most toxic members of the community no less. Says a lot about Starr. I'll be sure to keep my cash when he's involved in any future games as well. And ward off people I know to steer clear.

From that link you posted: "Come learn how a combination of insane ambition and idealistic cluelessness can sometimes result in creating something that changes people's lives and the course of an industry." They are counting on their "insane ambition and idealistic cluelessness" doing the same thing this time. Only the industry has radically changed since they stumbled into that. Gamers are far, far more experienced, expectant and jaded by so many really trashy games and cash grabs.

I liked that story from Myrcello (heard it before, but it is apropos).
Also, I like how we're trolls and tin foil hats, all dissenters, like every single person who has left a negative review resides here. Even funnier that this place is responsible for all those nasty, hurtful things people are saying. How belittling, to tell others their opinions are solely on account on brainwashing by some strangers on the internet.

The SotA Sucks blog is a great example. Honestly if they actually do think that, they are giving me and us way too much credit. If they want to talk honestly and openly about that, or anything else, they know how to find us.

Envy is pathetic. Starr even moreso. I actually don't think the suggestion was serious and was just mostly a jest, and, if I am allowed to have some fun at their expense then they can have some fun at my expense!

I think there's a lot of potential in Envy's idea. Instead of "Slimes", we could have "Stable Membranes" and then every 1 in X could be an "Insane Membrane", which would be green and would use death magic (being a lichly slime and all).
Envy has truly shown his colors by requesting such a uniting creature. Now we can stop making damning threads about him.

Again, Envy responds aggressively and nothing will be done about it. He essentially calls rune an idiot with his post. He takes pleasure in insulting people on the forums and does so with impunity. His response is the hateful one and it parrots the defense wrathphoenix gave of the members of the community over there. Insinuating people are of below level intelligence is par for the course for Envy and he's never called out on it by the friendly and positive community over there. Envy is possibly the worst of what that community is and yet he's one of its most noble posters. He has carte blanche to insult people and it completely at best completely ignored and at worst 'liked' by the loving group of individuals over there.

One of the best lines I've ever read on the SotA forum: " What you need to somehow comprehend and grasp (despite how difficult it may be for you) is that pledge level has got nothing to do with the way people post or even how their posts are treated by moderators....."
Fucking epic lawl

The way I figure it: Envy is the mouthpiece for the devs. They are bunch of nasty mouthed guys who can't publicly say those things, so they let Envy do it for them. Why the hell else would hey allow him to get away with all that shit? It's the only explanation. Because Blake had to have invested at least as much or more than Envy, and they treated him like crap.
