How difficult is adding those recipes? You'd have to firstly add it, which seemingly already takes too long, then distribute it into the rest of the game systems, which are probably all separate scripts and not centrally managed, including crafting. I don't create games, maybe I am missing something? If anyone out there has ever used Unity before, Joviex , tell us why this is so slow? I don't know their art asset pipeline, however, even at the worst case, it should not be taking more than a couple hours to import any props or a few more MAYBE for a character. if it's taking longer, it is just another example of poor management as that should be one of the most important areas to employ technically designed solutions to speed up said pipeline entry. it was also something I mentioned numerous times in dev+ and dev chat sessions I was interested in helping boost, since I literally do that work, and not the other stuff I actually contributed.

I guess my question here is, those assets are actually already in game. People buy and wear them from the add-on store. Would it honestly be so difficult to simply create a recipe in the system to make the item craftable as well? It seems absurd to me that anything more than a minimal amount of work would be necessary to make an item craftable when it already exists in game.

I think what you are going to see is nothing but dye. You're going to get very few pieces of clothing, and they are just going to let you dye the fuck out of them. You watch, they impose their bullshit store on everything they do which means that some dye's or the ability to dye at all will be on the fucking store as premium special people only things for whales.
