I can't believe they will lock you down to the point that you can't even try to get out from under your pledge, especially considering your many contributions to the forums and game.
This is why I originally backed away from trying to sell my Lord's pledge (and various add-on junk that I had acquired just to give away). When you activate on steam, the little steam information box at the bottom right of your SotA page changes and says: "Note: This Steam access key is for your personal use only and may not be transferred to other accounts or used to create a new Shroud of the Avatar account."
It kinda made me question what it would take to sell and transfer over the account after I activated it on Steam. Maybe it's nothing and would pose no issues for a sale/transfer of the pledge, but considering my luck so far with this shit, I decided not to even open that can of worms for fear I'd discover that steam activation means you are locked in (and a transfer is not possible, or is made much more difficult than it would have been if I hadn't activate on steam). If I got something like that confirmed, I'd go ballistic and would be even less calm and measured than I've been recently.
So, I've since decided to ignore selling the pledge and to just eat my contribution, chalking it up to my own personal stupidity, and I will instead count it as a tuition payment to the school of hard knocks for a pricey lesson that I won't be forgetting any time soon... Sadly, it looks like they've made that decision for you, Joviex.

If you've activated steam on your account, the activation is for the account itself, it has no link to your pledge. That being said, your pledge can be transferred to another account easily, no different than a non steam linked account. This is if they want to do it though and decide not to give you some bullshit excuse. If you were planning to sell this is what I would do, make a new account, contact support and ask them to transfer your pledge and whatever else to the new account, then sell the new account. If no one buys your new account you can always get transfer the pledge back. It is quite the journey to sell something.

Also that sucks about the permaban, I'm really surprised steam gives so much control to developers, letting them manipulate whatever.

Unfortunately, I've not been satisfied with my CS experiences since Joseph's departure. I no longer have confidence in them to handle a request of this nature (considering how badly even a simple request about the ridiculous hat rewards fell through the cracks). ^This is part of why I've been slow to sell. But, knowing the Steam stuff won't pose too much of an issue, I will look into it again now.
