Second post selects a genre of music. Subsequent posters list any music that they listen to within the selected genre (song and artist). Once incoming replies dry up, next post picks a new genre and the cycle continues.
Second poster, pick a genre of music and list some works from that genre that you enjoy.
Also, Templar, list some works (piece/artist) that you enjoy within the genre.

Dark Tranqullity - all songs. For example, Dark Tranquillity - Lethe
I'm not rly one of those geeks who knows all the bands in the genre to the letter. Hell, I can even mistake melodic black for melodic death. It's fine as far as im concerned, who the fuck cares.

You could have just picked metal if that's the case.
My melodeath picks:
At the Gates- Blinded By Fear Suicide Nation Slaughter of the Soul
In Flames- Trigger Come Clarity
Now, unless anyone else likes MDM, someone else can pick a new genre.

Fleetwood Mac - Rumors Todd Rundgren - The Hermit of Mink Hollow Neil Young - Harvest Eagles - Hotel California Led Zeppelin - Physical Graffiti Pink Floyd - Animals Alice Cooper - Billion Dollar Babies Marianne Faithfull - Broken English Patti Smith - Horses Rush - Moving Pictures
I could go on and on, but those above are some of my favorites with Fleetwood Mac being #1.
Go to 4:15 and watch Stevie Nicks change from folk hippie chick to Janis Joplin. Awesome.

Born down in a dead man's town The first kick I took was when I hit the ground End up like a dog that's been beat too much Till you spend half your life just covering up
Born in the U.S.A., I was born in the U.S.A. I was born in the U.S.A., born in the U.S.A.
Got in a little hometown jam So they put a rifle in my hand Sent me off to a foreign land To go and kill the yellow man
Born in the U.S.A., I was born in the U.S.A. Born in the U.S.A., born in the U.S.A.
Come back home to the refinery Hiring man said "son if it was up to me" Went down to see my V.A. man He said "son, don't you understand"
I had a brother at Khe Sahn Fighting off the Viet Cong They're still there, he's all gone
He had a woman he loved in Saigon I got a picture of him in her arms now
Down in the shadow of the penitentiary Out by the gas fires of the refinery I'm ten years burning down the road Nowhere to run ain't got nowhere to go
Born in the U.S.A., I was born in the U.S.A. Born in the U.S.A., I'm a long gone daddy in the U.S.A. Born in the U.S.A., born in the U.S.A. Born in the U.S.A., I'm a cool rocking daddy in the U.S.A.

The 80s music typically sucked, in general. The 70s classics were better, and some 60s. But I stopped listening to most mainstream music in the 90s.
