No rust, running water, people having fun, sunshine. That picture changed my view of Russia. Isolated examples can be decieving. To have the full picture of some area, its dynamics and the people inhabiting it is a bit complicated. It's an art, I would say. Yet anyway, thats gud, have some more of the light side of Rostov: imgur.com/a/Z0yhRAlthough while I was sitting on a bench in the morning looking at my tablet some wierdo who was seemingly talking to himself approached me, extended his hand and said HELLO. I freaked out, jumped to my feet and got ready to kick him in the face/spray him with my pepper spray. Faggot looked like a total freak and criminal. He proceeded to tell me that I was not alright in the head, that he only wanted to say hi, blah, blah. I noticed multiple scars on the back side of his arm, where the veins are. Anyway, I left him there and moved to another spot. Oh also. The mechanical heart has all kinds of gears inside it, 100% steampunk central. They turn at night. The mechanical musician moves his hands as if he was playing his instrument. The cool fountain shoots water in the rhytm of all kinds of songs. Also there was a huge party in the evening with people singing/talking from stage, tons of balloons and a camera drone. Was fun overall. (the last photo is a floating brothel ship)

For some reason, every time I read a thread like that, I think of Tardy the Turtle. If you watch the entire video, you'll see the same logic from the carebears on the SotA forums used by Tardy.

Templar, you should start a thread in the off-topic area to chronicle your adventures.

Oh and also all those high cranes in the distance are building a stadium for the upcoming world football championship. Are any of you guys into football? I'm assuming you mean "soccer" - and no, I'm not really into sports. Yes, I'm "that guy". Those pictures are actually pretty cool. That mechanical heart was sweet - does it function? Like the gears and cog-bits move and shit? I'm not big into steampunk but I like seeing machines in action, even if they only exist for artistic purposes. Some of those pictures look like they could have been taken in Portland or on the coast of Oregon (where I currently live); interesting how similar and dissimilar it can all be at once. As for that thread, poor Tarsin. I would say it's like applying logic to a Dali painting, but that insinuates that SotA is - in some way, shape or form - art, and gives credit where it isn't due.

Indeed, the gears and chains turn, but only at night. Some parts of the city are pretty cool and modern, others are horrible.

Oh and btw, which pics look like they were taken in Portland/Oregon? The three pictures you posted here looked like they could have been taken in Portland or many major cities on the water in the States. The others on imgur looked like they could have been from any small beach town in America, honestly (or even downtown, though the skyline would have way more skyscrapers and other tall buildings).

Oh shiiiit found the pedofile!! Not gonna' lie, I noticed one of the kids looked like a girl. I was thinking, "that's not all too uncommon nowadays, I guess, though I'm sure there's some pedo- oops, found him." Saw the SAME fucking guy. There's fucking duct tape and a video recorder in that bag of his.

I use the Other Games board as an off-topic board, but you may find the capybara/wildlife board more suitable for your needs.

Mang thats interesting. So Ive been taking pics of those huge tankers that sail down the river. And then I decided to google them. It turns out they all have their history, some have cool stories associated with them. You can find all about them in ship registries on the web. This one, for example, got attacked by pirated near the shores of Somali but managed to defend itself cause it had a russian military ship following it as well as some marines onboard.
